Harris Toy & Train Auctions was formed in 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic virtually shutdown all forms of selling and buying collectible toy trains at train meets and public facilties.
Harris Toy & Train Auctions is not open to the public but conducts its auctions online through its bidding platform bid.harristoytrainauctions.com, with the auction catalogs also posted on the third party platform LiveAuctioneers.
Harris Toy & Train Auctions is owned by Stephen R. Harris (TCA Member 86-23755), a long time toy train collector, who resides in Reno, Nevada. Stephen R. Harris has experience selling collectible toy trains on his former website toytrainsbuysell.com, wherein he sold over a million dollars in rare and collectible toy trains. The collectible toy trains to be sold at auction include Lionel, American Flyer, Marx, Ives, Dorfan and Voltamp, as well as other scales and toy trains, with both prewar and postwar items included in the online auction sales. To date, Harris Toy & Train Auctions has conducted over thirty (30) successful live online auctions.
